LOS OSOS CARES RECEIVED A COMMUNITY GRANT FOR BASIC NEEDS AND RESOURCES FOR VULNERABLE SENIORS
November 1st, 2020
This grant will be in effect from November 1, 2020 to Dec 31, 2021. The grant will cover participants in the Estero Bay Community (Los Osos, Morro Bay and Cayucos).
At this time, we have launched a new program to assist the needs of Estero Bay Seniors. The program is called Estero Bay R U OK. We will be accepting calls from seniors to help them find resources or services to help them. We will also establish a wellness line to help those sheltered at home. We have three phones lines one for each community. We are also getting ready to report the findings of the “Senior Post Pandemic Needs Survey”. When this is finished we will be addressing the most pressing needs of each community. Zoom meetings will be conducted every month to address concerns and connect with agencies who can help.
We are moving forward helping those during the COVID 19 Pandemic by assisting with emergency funding and basic needs to get them through this time.
We are creating a culture of care for the Estero Bay, by working with others to help community members find resources and services to meet their needs and help them move forward in their lives.
